Project#1: A beautiful cup shaped pot!

Dear Reader,
This is my first time ever making pottery! Honestly I didn't know what I would/could make. So I settled on a giant cup. It's also a plant pot.

This is the first photo: here it's pretty rough (I did not take a picture of the before) This was after baking on the klin. Now the second thing to do was to paint it! I knew pottery tends to shrink while baked but it maintained it's shape and size very beautifully!

Here it's with a bit of paint. As you can see the project it's taking shape and form! I wanted to paint one of my childhood dogs Crabbit sitting on the grass in a beautiful sunny day. I also painted a big sun! The instructor told the colors reminded her of Van Gogh.

Here you can see a bit of the color palette I used mostly blues, greens.
And I added the eyes and nose to Crabbit the dog! I think he turned out so pretty

Now it's just time to GLAZE! I came back some days later.

Finally, this is the final result it turned out beautifully, I'm really content with the result. I definetely want to try more pottery in the future

Crabbit unfortunately passed away some days before I got to pick this pot. I wish he would have got to see it, I miss you the incarnte sweetness. I remember you always♡♡♡
